Our specialities, in which we hold a particularly strong interest, include Chinese ceramics, paintings and miniatures, and militaria.
Chinese Ceramics
We specialise in Chinese ceramics, covering the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Song Dynasty (960-1279), Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the Qing Dynasty, which ran from 1644 to 1912 and was the last Imperial Dynasty being succeeded by the Republic period.
Militaria
We have a real appetite for military history, primarily focusing on the 19th and 20th century. For the 19th century, this would start from the 1815 Battle of Waterloo, through the Crimean War of 1853-1856, the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 and ending with the South African War which started in 1899. The 20th Century would essentially cover the Two World Wars of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.
We have previously dealt in items from earlier periods, so if you have anything from the Medieval to Early Modern period then please get in touch.
Paintings & Miniatures
Original etchings, engravings, oil and watercolour paintings are always of interest to us. This would primarily range from 18th Century to more modern day. Earlier religious icons are a particular passion, as are miniature portraits, such as those by Irish Artist Frederick Buck (1771-1839).
